Act 2 Scene 4 Summary
Mercutio aske Benvolio where Romeo is, Benvolio states that he hasn’t slept at his house that Romeos father told him so. Benvolio says that Tybalt has sent a challenge to Romeo asking for a fight and Benvolio said how Romeo will accept it, then Mercutio starts talking about how poor Romeo is been due to love, then Mercutio starts mocking Tybalt on how much of a great fighter he is. Then later that seen Romeo appears and talks with Mercutio, they start having banta. Later in the nurse appears and asks for Romeo and the boys mock her saying how she looks like a sail from a distance. Romeo tells the nurse who has been sent by Juliet to tell her to go to confession to Friar Lawrence’s cell and then they will get married. The nurse leaves very happy and can’t wait to tell Juliet the news .
Act 2 Scene 1 Summary
Romeo left the scene in search for his love. Benvolio and Mercutio try say words to try to convince Romeo to come back but Romeo is no where to be seen.

True I am talking about dreams, which are made from the sleeping brain of children, the dreams are a silly imagination, that are as thin as air, and more irregular than the wind, the wind that blows in the north, and when it gets angry it puffs away from there, turning around and blowing south.
Summary Act 1 Scene 5
Sunday Afternoon: Capulet’s house. And Servingmen Come forth with napkins
Capulet and cousin Capulet discuss with each other how they used to be young and they were just remembering their old days. Then after Romeo is that the party and Tybalt hears Romeos voice and prepares his sword to kill Romeo, Capulet stops Tybalt and asks what’s wrong. Tybalt says that he’s seen Montague Romeo, Capulet says that he’s heard of him and tells Tybalt not to fight there in Capulets party. Tybalt declines his uncles wishes and Capulet tells him if he fight he will have to leave the party. Romeo spots Juliet and thinks she’s the most beautiful girl in the world. He goes up to her and states that he just wants to kiss her. Then she starts talking about pilgrims and lips. Romeo kisses Juliet. They loosen lips and she says ” you kiss by thy book” . Romeo then goes in for another kiss and they get interrupted by the nurse. She takes Juliet and Juliet asks “who is this man”. She replies by saying this is the son of old Tiberio. Then Juliet says. “My only love sprung from my only hate” . The scene ends with Romeo leaving with Benvolio and Mercutio
Summary Act 1 Scene 4
Sunday evening: outside Capulet’s house. Enter Romeo, Mercutio, Benvolio, with five or six other maskers, Torch-bearers
All the lads are outside the mansion, Romeo explains how he has a soul of lead that he will not dance at the party. Mercutio tries to cheer him up and says ” you are a lover, borrow Cupid’s wings”. Romeo starts saying that it’s too late that they shouldn’t go, after Romeo starts talking about a dream he had. Mercutio says that he also had a dream, his dream was “That dreamers often lie.” Romeo said that he felt like something was going to happen that will lead him to his death. Mercutio starts talking about love and drugs, he talks so much that Romeo asked him to hold the piece. Benvolio said that they should hurry that they will arrive too late. Romeo feared that they would arrive too early.
Summary Act 1 Scene 3
Sunday Afternoon : Capulet’s house. Enter Capulet’s Wife and Nurse
Lady Capulet asks the nurse to call her Juliet for her. The nurse is a bit batty, and she started getting nervous when she didn’t know where Juliet was. Juliet entered the scene and the nurse was relived. Lady Capulet and the nurse start talking about Juliet and how old she is. The nurse and Juliet’s mother disagree with each other about her age, to show that the nurse really knows her true age she starts talking about all her life with Juliet and how she stopped drinking her breast milk at the age of 3. The nurse keeps on going on of all loads of reasons of how she knows Juliet is 14. Juliet’s mother stops as she feels as she has heard too much. Then the nurse mentions something about marriage and Juliet’s mum tells them both that that’s exactly what she wants to talk about. Lady Capulet asked Juliet how she felt about getting married. Juliet responds “it is an honour that I dream not of.” Lady Capulet talks about how handsome Paris is, she tells Juliet that tonight will be a chance for her to see him. Juliet gets asked if she will accept Paris’s Love. She says that she’ll look at him and try to like him but if she doesn’t she won’t be forced to like him just because her mom wants her to.
