Interpret a Shakespearian Scene

Gregory : Get in your fighting stance! Two of the TKD LIONS are coming.

Sampson : My stance is ready. Cuss them and I’ll back it.

Gregory : What do you mean ?  You’ll just run away.

Sampson : Am I Wasteman to run off ?

Gregory : You will run away!

Sampson : Let’s stay within the club rules, let them start the fight.

Gregory : I’ll tease them and It’ll piss them off.

Sampson : I’ll put up my middle finger that will piss them off.

Abram : Are you giving us the middle finger, Wasteman?

Sampson : I am doing the middle finger, Wasteman.

Abram : Are you giving us the middle finger, Wasteman?

Sampson : [Aside to Gregory]

Gregory : [Aside to Sampson] No.

Sampson : No, I don’t put up my middle finger to you but I do put up my middle finger.

Gregory : Are you swearing, Wasteman.

Abram : Swear, nah fam.

Sampson : But if you are, I’m here. I’m better than you.

Abram : No way better.

Sampson : Well.

Enter Bevolio

Gregory : [ Aside to Sampson ] Say your “better”, here comes the gold medal winner from our club.

Sampson : Yes I am better than you,  you Wasteman!

Abram : Shut up.

Sampson : Get ready to fight me if your better! Gregory, remember your head kicks and your back kicks.

They Fight

Benvolio : Stop you idiots! Lower your stances, you don’t even know how to fight.

Enter Tybalt

Tybalt : Are you getting ready to fight these two amateur cadets? Turn around and look at you new opponent.

Benvolio : I’m only stopping them from fighting.

Tybalt : Your ready to fight and your talking about calming them down. I hate what you just said, but not as much as I hate you Fusion fighters! Come at me fam!

The Prologue HW

The Prologue

Two households, both alike in dignity,
In fair Verona, where we lay our scene,
From ancient grudge break to new mutiny,
Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean.
From forth the fatal loins of these two foes
A pair of star-cross’d lovers take their life;
Whose misadventured piteous overthrows
Do with their death bury their parents’ strife.
The fearful passage of their death-mark’d love,
And the continuance of their parents’ rage,
Which, but their children’s end, nought could remove,
Is now the two hours’ traffic of our stage;
The which if you with patient ears attend,
What here shall miss, our toil shall strive to mend.

Translation

In the beautiful city of Verona, where our story takes place.A long-standing hatred between two families turns into violence, and citizens stain their hands with the blood of their fellow citizens. Two  children of these enemy families fall in love with each other and end up killing themselves. Their unfortunate deaths put an end to their parents feud. For the next two hours, we will watch the story of their doomed love and their parents anger, which nothing but the children’s deaths could stop. If you listen to us patiently, we’ll make up for everything we’ve left out in this prologue onstage.

Perfect Paragraph

Just another school day, except this one felt a lot colder. As my foot got buried inside a puddle I wondered if this damp British weather could get any colder. I felt like I was stranded with no clothes on the North Pole. It was finally time for period 1.

Is There Such Thing As A Just War?

Some people believe that ‘there is such thing as a just war’, whilst on the other hand some people don’t.

Personally i don’t agree with this. There are two main reasons to my answer and they are due to :

  1. My religion
  2. Disharted families / Many deaths

Due to the fact that there are many Christians around the world, there is a section of them called Quakers. They believe that killing is wrong no matter what the costs are.

One of the ten commandments is “Thou shall not kill”. This is a quote straight from the bible saying that no human being should kill. This quote is saying that no matter how big of a reason it is, it is not right to kill. By going to war you will immediately brake this commandment as war is a place where blood is spread and where many lives get taken away during battle. God gave us a life and in return he expects us to return him the favour by listening to all these 10 commandments. Just how God gave us a life, God can also take it away from us. I believe that only God can allow people to start a war.

The other reason why i agree that ‘there is no such thing as a just war’ is due to the amount of deaths and disharted families there will be before, during and after war. As long as there’s war between countries thousands and thousands of soldiers are going to lose their lives. War is a place where no one should go. Innocent people die fighting for their country, for trying to make their country a better place. They should not have to go to war. Soldiers family members will be at home thinking about that one man that has gone to war and they know perfectly that any soldier could easily die. Who can guarantee the family’s that there uncle, brother, cousin or even dad will make it back home alive? No one deserves to go to war no matter how bad the reason is.

This essay shows why I agree that ‘there is no such thing as a just war’.
