Act 5 Scene 3

The scene starts with Paris leaving flowers at Juliets tomb. Romeo arrives at the scene with a pickax and a crowbar, Romeo starts talking to the tomb and says that it has eaten the “dearest morsel of the earth”. Paris sees Romeo and they start fighting, Romeo kills Paris during the fight. Again romeo feels guitly for killing another person but he is just so focused on how sad he is due to Juliets death. He breaks the tomb and brings out her corpse. Romeo kisses juliet for the last time and chugs the posion. A couple seconds later Friat enters the scene, he is too late as Romeo is already dead. Then after Juliet wakes up to find her husband laying dead next to her. Friar tries to convince her to run away. Juliet dosent listen and tries to drink the rest of the potion, there is none so she pulls out a dagger and stabs her self to die along with her husband Romeo. This fits the prologue and makes it true.

 

Romeo & Juliet 

Act 5 Scene 2

Friar John starts the scene along with Friar Lawrence, Friar Lawrence asks John if he has delivered the message to Romeo. Friar John explains that he couldn’t because there was a plague on the way to Mantua. Friar Lawrence realises that Romeo didn’t get the letter, he asks John to get him a crowbar as he needs to go to open Juliets tomb. John goes straight away. Friar Lawrence is left by himself and says that Juliet will be upset because Romeo hasn’t received the letter explaining the plan, so he re-sends the letter.

Act 5 Scene 1


The scene starts with Romeo by himself then Balthasar enters the scene. Romeo in excitement asks him about Juliet and his father, he again asks for how Juliet is. Balthasar tells Romeo that she is not well that she is dead. Romeo is upset and he says ” I defy you stars “. Romeo heads to Verona even though he is vanished and he goes to an Apothecary, he tells him that he wants a poison that can kill someone. Romeo pays the Apothecary and he gives him a poison, he says that he should drink it all, it has the strength of 20 men.

Act 4 Scene 5

In this scene the nurse comes to wake up Juliet, she finds Juliet dead and cries for Lady Capulet. She wonders if they will get the photographer’s deposit back. Capulet calls Friar Lawrence. Everyone is crying and Friar tells them to take Juliet to the Tomb.

Act 4 Scene 3

Juliet does just as Friar told her she asks the nurse to leave the her and the room in order for Juliet to take the potion. She is scared that the potion probably might kill her, she is scared that she will just wake up and see dead bodies around her especially the fresh corpse of her cousin Tybalt. She drinks the potion and it has an immediate effect and she falls into a deep sleep.

Act 4 Scene 2

After juliet comes back from Friar Lawrences cell she goes to apologise to her father and therms tells him that she will get married with Paris. Capulet accepts the apology and he is too excited that he moves the wedding to Wednesday (tomorrow).

Act 4 Scene 1

Friar Lawrence and Paris are just talking about the marriage shortly after Juliet arrives. Paris then leaves and its just Juliet and Friar, Juliet very upset tells friar that if she can’t be with romeo then she will kill herself. Fair lawrence changes her mind and tells her about the plan that he had thought of. He says to her that he will give her a poison that will make her top to sleep for 42 hours and it will seem like if she is dead. Then they will put Juliet in the grave of the capulets, Friar Lawrence would of already told Romeo to collect her by then and then they will head of to Mantua.

Act 3 Scene 5

Romeo wakes up in Juliets bedroom and he know that he had to leave for Mantua. Juliet tells him that it’s still night and it’s the nightingale not the lark bird. Romeo doesn’t argue with Juliet and decides to stay. The nurse hastily comes in and tell Juliet that her mother is coming, Romeo leaves straight away. Lady Capulet comes in and alas Juliet how is she feeling. Juliet responds “madam, I am not well.” Lady Capulet thinks that it is about Tybalt and tells her that she shouldn’t be crying about Tybalts death, that she should be crying about the fact that the man that slaughtered Tybalt is still alive. Lady Capulet tells her that she will get married to Paris, Juliet tells her that Paris will not make her a joyful bride . Lady Capulet tells her to tell her dad that as he is coming. Capulet describes Juliet as “a ship, the sea, and the winds. Your eyes, which I call the sea, flow with tears. The ship is your body which is sailing on the salt flood of your tears.” he thinks that she is still sad cause of the death of her cousin Tybalt. Capulet asks Lady Capulet if she told Juliet what they agreed on and Lady Capulet said that she doesn’t like the idea. Capulet tells Juliet how disappointed he is and says that she isn’t even showing any pride or thanks, Juliet tells her “Good Father” to be patient. Capulet gets very angry and even the nurse and Lady Capulet try to stop him but he docent listen to none of them. Capulet tells her that if she doesn’t get married on Thursday then she shouldn’t ever look at him again. Juliet complains to her mother and Lady Capulet says that she shouldn’t speak to her because she won’t say a word. The nurse tries to convince her to marry Paris and after a while Juliet says that she will go to confession as she has made her father angry. Juliet speaks to herself about the nurse and says how dare she talk about like that about Romeo after she has praised so many times, she will never speak her heart to her again.

Act 3 Scene 4

Paris is with Capulet and lady Capulet talking about Juliet and the wedding. Paris waits for Juliet but then lady Capulet says to him that she won’t come down as she is too upset because of the death of Tybalt. Capulet says that Paris and Juliet will be married on Thursday. Paris is really excited and says “my lord, I would that Thursday were tomorrow.”
